SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This finale was a bit all over the place. The action was great, but the plot was very rushed and it ended really abruptly.
Layla becoming the Scarlet Scarab was cool and I really like the look of it, even if it is very similar to Wonder Woman's golden armor.
Since Marc and Steven can now switch between personalities at will, hopefully it will lead to a much more functional Moon Knight moving forward. The introduction of Jake Lockley was great, as he seems downright psychotic and I really like the whole "mob boss and hired muscle" dynamic between himself and Khonshu.
Unfortunately, like with Taweret, the CGI on Ammit left a lot to be desired. That being said, her voice was perfect,
Overall, this was a really solid series for me and I'm intrigued to see where we will see these characters pop up next in the MCU.
@Spideygirl90 please keep moon knight posts in here
Really good. I think ep 4 and 5 was the show’s peak 10/10 eps, this was an 8/10 I just felt Jake beating Harrow offscreen was an anti-climax. But this was a really cool finale and the mid credits scene has a lot of implications on the future of Steven/Marc/Jake’s story. Like how will Layla react to him disappearing again?
From someone who never red moon knight comics i loved it.
^I highly recommend them, he's one of my favorite comic characters
I will read them
The finale was mediocre, I specifically watched the show to see Moon Knight not Mr. Knight, and definitely not Layla, the ending should've been Harrow vrs Spector, not Harrow vs Spector vs Layla vs Grant. I liked the first episodes of the show, but it went downhill with Spector being an avatar of a literal god, needing Layla for some reason. And the whole Jake thing was lame, they could've showed him in the finale beating up the mercenaries, not Marc Spector blanking out.
Wow just wow. Amazing action, emotion, everything great. But I am confused about a few things. Is Marc/Steven/Jake still Knoshu's avatar? and Was the whole episode actually fake?
^No, not fake just taking place onto two different planes of existence. I took it the implication was that since Marc and Steven chose to leave the Egyptian afterlife they will always have a connection to it similar to how the Black Panthers always have a connection to the Ancestral Plane after the ceremony. In this case, the Duat will always manifest for Marc and Steve as the Putnam Psychiatric Hospital.
In the real world, Arthur Harrow was seemingly dumped by Marc/Steve and/or Layla in the Sienkiewicz Psychiatric Hospital (nice nod to Sienkiewicz) only for Jake to extract him from there to off him on Khonshu's orders. So Jake is now the current avatar. As sneaky as Khonshu was, he upheld the modified bargain. He freed Marc and Steven from being his avatars as they demanded. The deal didn't involve Jake so loophole. It was conniving of Khonshu. But eh, gods will be gods.
It should of been at least an hour and fifteen minute episode. But overall it’s a 8/10 perfect mix of Marc, Steven and Layla action. And for all you sour apples saying you came for Moonknight not Mr. Knight and Steven, like Steven said it’s a 2 for 1 deal 🤷
What do you think?
