Which characters do you want to see meet/reunite in Avengers 5? I have a few picks myself.
Assuming these characters don’t meet or die in any of the movies between now & Avengers 5:
Sam Wilson & Rhodey
It would be nice for Sam and Rhodey to have a conversation about what happened in Civil War. Maybe Sam still feels guilty that he couldn’t save Rhodey in time.
Bruce Banner & Steven Grant
They can bond over how difficult their lives are because of their alter-egos. Maybe Bruce can give Steven some advice.
Doctor Strange & Marc Spector
It would be cool if Doctor Strange pushed both Marc and Steven’s astral forms out of the body so they could talk to each other more conveniently.
Luis & Makkari
It would be funny if Luis does one of his “fast-summaries” in sign language to explain something to Makkari.
Thena & Thor
Thor could offer his condolences to Thena for the death of Gilgamesh, recognizing that he was an ally of Odin. Then Kingo walks up and Thor walks away, continuing to avoid him.
Makkari & Clint Barton
Since they’re both hard of hearing, maybe she encourages him in some way.
Sersi & Steven Grant
This could be interesting. Steven is a student of Egyptian mythology. Sersi was probably there when it happened, and she also currently poses as an academic, so they could have a lot to talk about.
Druig & Yelena
Maybe Druig, being judgemental, considers controlling more people’s minds — but Yelena talks to him about the horrors of the last man she met that wanted to mind control people - Dreykov. Maybe Druig makes a comment about how her perspective is biased because she’s a mortal human. Then 2012 Loki walks up and tells Druig he’s not mortal or human, and he actually did try to control minds and take over the world — and it’s not worth it.
Xu Xialing & Pepper Stark
Whatever the threat is (Arishem?) it might stand to reason that the Ten Rings might offer to help the Avengers, as Xialing is using them for good now.
But the Ten Rings were the ones who kidnapped Tony all those years ago, so when Pepper meets Xialing, she might be horrified and there might be friction between them, as Xialing’s father was responsible for the events of Iron Man 1. Maybe Bruce is the one who calms Pepper down, since he knows her well and has also met Shang-Chi. Then Bucky walks in and Pepper’s even more annoyed.
Kate Bishop & Katy Chen
They’re both Kates who shoot arrows.
Dane Whitman & Doctor Strange
This one’s more of a fun one. We know Dane is a Strange fan, and he was disappointed that Sersi couldn’t turn him into a giraffe, so it might be funny if he asked Strange. But then maybe Strange senses there’s something mystical and off about Dane (the ebony blade).
Eros & Nebula
Maybe Eros tells Nebula some of Thanos’s history, being his brother.
2012 Loki & Clint Barton
Clint had his mind controlled by Loki back when he was evil. Now that Loki’s good, does he regret doing that to Clint. Does Clint forgive him?
Clint Barton & Wanda Maximoff
Ever since Age of Ultron, Clint has always been sort of a big brother to Wanda, able to believe in her and calm her down.
After the events of WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2, she’ll probably have few allies left.
It would be neat if, at her darkest moment, Wanda barricades herself inside a fortress, with the military about to attack, but Clint returns and he still believes in her, saying, “If you walk out that door, you are an Avenger,” echoing his line from Age of Ultron.
Peter Quill & his Grandfather
Peter’s grandfather is probably dead, but if he isn’t, then it would be great for the grandfather to know that after Peter ran away all those years ago, he’s still alive.
Pip the Troll & Adam Warlock
Come on, we all know these two need to meet. It could make for a nice end-credits scene.
