SPOILER ALERT !!!!!!!!
I enjoyed this episode particularly learning more about Marc Spector and meeting Layla who was a really confident and sassy character who has the competence to back it up which gives a fun contrast with both Marc and Steven and also allows her to be attractive without just being a joke about how the female lead is hot. Arthur Harrow is so far an intriguing villain so far because you can see his logic while still understanding that he is wrong and wanting Marc to take him down
I like it by a lot
I’m so confused on whether the original personality is Steven Grant or Marc Spector.
@Guccigang2121 it’s Marc
Then how does Steven have a life in England with a house originally owned by his mother, and wouldn’t Marc want to take back control of his body instead of promising Steven it’s only temporary?
There’s a very strong theory that is probably true. Marc is the mother who provided all of this stuff to make him feel like he has a normal life. Idk the reasons for why he would do all of this stuff for him
I liked this episode.
The only disappointment was the part where cane guy threatens, "Don't make me use my purple magic cane on you." Then he starts using it and makes the floor glow all purple-y and bright and the floor starts morphing shape and the music gets creepy, making you think something totally dramatic and badass is going to happen.
But the only thing he summons is just another one of those screaming dog monkey things from episode one! What a lame let down!
Strong episode. I'm getting kinda bored with Steven so I'm glad we're with Marc now. I also love how this episode takes every opportunity to make make Marc/Steven look crazy to other people. It helps further display how mental illness affects some people and what they go through.
Seeing Marc/Steven talking to each other from their own perspective (the reflections) plus everyone else's also sells the chaotic nature of his mind. You see exactly why being neurodivegent can be an extremely taxing existence.
I also dig how morally grey all the characters are. It leaves a lot to ponder on. Khonshu is arguably better than Ammit from a moral standpoint but is he necessarily good? Is there an objective, moral good? That's for us to explore. Maybe, the show gives it's own answer.
Mr. Knight suit looks so good. I’m liking how this series is currently set up, so far. It definitely has the feel of a limited television series, not like a six hour movie chopped into six parts (ie Loki, TFATWS).
F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu is still my favorite part of this, and he probably will continue to be. The title sequence during the end credits is gorgeous.
@LR2159 @Guccigang2121 It is the body of Steven and Marc had to posses(Barow) his body for his service to the moon god
What do you think?
