SPOILER ALERT
Great episode, in my opinion, and I love the fact that we only get Steve's POV, so we could understand the confusion he is in
Also, and I know it's a bit soon to talk about it, but I noticed the dates "22 April - 29 July" in the museum. Don't know if it's the dates of the Egyptian Exposition that we see or another exposition, but it can be a clue for the timeline (even if we don't know for sure if it's again in 2024 of if it's the first show of 2025)
The episode was amazing, I found it quite strange that the balance takes the multiple personalities as if they were different people, that is, Steven Grant is undoubtedly a good boy but Mark Spector is a mercenary but the balance let him live. On the other hand, the part where you see the jugglers with fire reminded me of Chan Ho Yin "Scorch" who appeared in chapter 5 of the first season Agents of Shield.
Unnerving creepy and entertaining
Oscar Isaac is a gifted actor. Like how he is acting bizarre, but still very likeable. He still shows some intelligence. Sometimes actors go too far on crazy and weird, but he displaying it in a way that is more likeable and easier to feel bad for him in just one episode.
We have seen much of Marc/Moon Knight, but confident that is going to be great based on what I have seen.
Funny how some many YouTubers thought that was Werewolf by Night that he was beating up in the restroom, but now it looks like it was just a jackal.
Ethan Hawke’s Harrow is interesting, but I think Ammit will be the main villain.
The flashbacking between Steven and Marc was great. Especially the car chase.
Khonshu is sort of reminding of a scary movie call “It Follows”.
At the time of this reply, Jackal/a Jackal wiki page still hasn't been created for it.
A thing I noticed and liked was that Moon Knight's first appearance on the show was punching the s**t out of a dog monster, just like how he was introduced in the comics.
The character of midnight man will come back as gaspard ulliel is dead ? in any case this is reassuring for when there will be daredevil back. because they don't fear of bloody scene anymore even for many of dr strange 2 .
I guess than the second episode will come back to the first but with the view point of marc
Sorry guys, internet issues on my end so I wasn't active yesterday!
I did end up getting up earlier than usual to watch this episode as it premiered. These are my thoughts:
Really enjoying how they've decided to show Steven's character since it makes so much sense. It seems like people have a lot of issues with the switches happening at certain points so we can't see the full fight scene. I don't have any problem with that. It gives us a taste of how confused Steven is and develops his character more by pulling him to the main focus.
Loving the history references, as someone who is intrigued by history. Egyptian history with its belief systems, mythology and lore is just so interesting. We're gonna see a lot more of this and it should be great!
Moon Knight's costume is insane. They really pulled it off. Can't wait to see more.
Overall, one of the better first episodes of any Marvel tv series. Genuinely enjoyed it.
I've had some internet problems too, so here are my thoughts:
I really enjoyed this. Oscar Isaac is great as both Steven and Marc and the show did a great job of giving us a sense of what life is like for someone with DID. Ethan Hawke is really compelling as Arthur Darrow and he plays it with enough ambiguity that we can't be sure if he's a good guy or a bad guy. Khonshu is really creepy and F. Murray Abraham's voice fits him perfectly.
Since this episode was told entirely from Steven's perspective, I hope the next episode will fill in the blanks by showing us Marc's side of the story.
The jackal creature chasing him through the museum was quite scary and seeing the Knight beat the hell out of it at the end was awesome.
I never thought I would see a high speed chase with a cupcake van set to "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go", but I'm glad it exists.
This is a small thing, but this has the best end credits sequence of any MCU show so far.
I hope than it's the theme when moon knight will be in the movies it would be so epic to see him pop up unexpectedly helping an avenger or a midnight son with this theme
there were still very bloody moments for a pg 13What do you think?
