Why wasn't a thread made already ?
SPOILER ALERT
I liked the show, it got a bit confusing at some points where I couldn't even tell if it was reality or a dream so its kind of like the begining of nwh where your supposed to feel like the character
VERY promising first episode indeed.
Loved how we saw Steven's perspective the entire episode so we could feel the confusion, horror and mystery alongside him. It gave us just a miniscule taste of what someone with DID must go through. Marc coming in to save the day at the end was great as well. The way the tables turned so fast for that Jackal-thing was super satisfying.
First episode was a bit anti-climactic but it's the first episode so can't expect too much...
But what a way to start the show can't wait to see what's in store
People said it is a jackal in the end, but shouldn't that be a set animal? A kind of demon jackal like creature in Egyptian Mythology which represented Set, the god of evil and chaos. The demon looks like a jackal but with a more arched nose and demonic look.
@Monarch Swallowtail Do you mean the Jackal, the Spider-Man enemy? Because I think the Jackal rights are at Sony, not at Marvel. But I believe your Set theory because it's according to the Egyptian Mythology...
Should we also not make a post about Morbius since it has a big connection with the MCU Spider-Man (but that are for the rest spoilers and I don't going to spoil anything)?
I liked it. Let's see where this is going.
I'm gonna call Harrow Mr. Crystal Flip Flops
I actually don't mind that they cut the actions scenes. I'm sure we're gonna have plenty of them later on
I can already tell that Khonshu is gonna be one of, if not the best character in the show
I want to see more of Marc already, boy he looks badass
Did I see a "Duchamp" in that phone? 7u7
I didn't understand if Gus grew a new fin or if that was just some other fish
The Moon Knight suit looks gorgeous
And that was it lol, there is not much to say, just that I hope they do my boy Moon Knight justice
Great episode, in my opinion, and I love the fact that we only get Steve's POV, so we could understand the confusion he is in
Also, and I know it's a bit soon to talk about it, but I noticed the dates "22 April - 29 July" in the museum. Don't know if it's the dates of the Egyptian Exposition that we see or another exposition, but it can be a clue for the timeline (even if we don't know for sure if it's again in 2024 of if it's the first show of 2025)
The episode was amazing, I found it quite strange that the balance takes the multiple personalities as if they were different people, that is, Steven Grant is undoubtedly a good boy but Mark Spector is a mercenary but the balance let him live. On the other hand, the part where you see the jugglers with fire reminded me of Chan Ho Yin "Scorch" who appeared in chapter 5 of the first season Agents of Shield.
Unnerving creepy and entertaining
Oscar Isaac is a gifted actor. Like how he is acting bizarre, but still very likeable. He still shows some intelligence. Sometimes actors go too far on crazy and weird, but he displaying it in a way that is more likeable and easier to feel bad for him in just one episode.
We have seen much of Marc/Moon Knight, but confident that is going to be great based on what I have seen.
Funny how some many YouTubers thought that was Werewolf by Night that he was beating up in the restroom, but now it looks like it was just a jackal.
Ethan Hawke’s Harrow is interesting, but I think Ammit will be the main villain.
The flashbacking between Steven and Marc was great. Especially the car chase.
Khonshu is sort of reminding of a scary movie call “It Follows”.
What do you think?
