The Watchers in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 are lazy

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a group of Watchers are shown listening to The Watcher Informant(Stan Lee). But in What If...? Uatu(The Watcher) is shown watching over the multiverse alone without help. This has a few implications (namely, Uatu has some informants, or it's a plot hole) but my favorite is that the group of watchers are just lazy compared to Uatu because they have an informant instead of watching themselves. This could be because they are afraid of getting attached to the universes (like Uatu did) but them being a group(therefore splitting up the work) and the fact that they have only been shown watching over the prime MCU lends credibility to the idea of them being lazy.

Uatu was low man on the totem pole, that’s why he had to watch everything.

I interpret it as that there are different levels of Watchers, possibly. Some operate inside only one universe, with no control in overseeing time and space as a whole in one chronology, and then there's Uatu, which may be the one above all Watchers, that watches every multiverse.

If he does get punished, it probably wouldn't be for assembling the guardians of the multiverse, it would be for putting Natasha back in the wrong universe

But it probably caused the avengers assassinated timeline to change drastically.

And the point isn't that her universe is dead, the Pont is that the watcher wasn't supposed to interfere at all, and he did to save the multiverse. So everything was supposed to go the same as it was. Erik Kilmonger didn't go back because he was imprisoned, and technically (I think) that was Dr. Strange's doing
