Just because he's not been proven dead does not automatically make him alive. And plus, it is just concept art. It didn't actually happen.

While anything is possible in the MCU, he is very likely dead. If they did want to go that route, I feel like the NWH story would had shifted back to him possibly being alive. Nothing in NWH seem to tease that. He is dead.

Is it impossible that Marvel/Sony bring Mysterio back at some point? No. But if they do, it would be very awkward storytelling counter to what they have explicitly laid out, albeit perhaps not a literal contradiction.

Far from Home addresses the possibility of him faking his death. It has Peter recognise that that's a possibility and explicitly check very clearly and smartly that it isn't happening. Not only that, it's the culmination of one of his arcs of the film, in learning his lesson. And the whole point of the video leak at the end is that Mysterio gets his twisted revenge even beyond the grave. You undermine and negate the whole ending of Far from Home on both fronts if you bring him back, and you would be clearly undoing the way you presented it.

I've said the same about Ultron. Is it impossible they bring him back? No. But certainly weird and undercutting of your film when you have gone out of your way to make clear "We have made sure to stop every single drone, not let any escape, shut him out of the Internet to make sure he can't escape that way, and had a whole conversation with one about him being the last".

It's not a particularly interesting theory to me to say "But what if an Ultron bot did survive/escape?" or "But what if Mysterio did actually fake his death?", because they're not smart ideas, they're just the obvious expectation from the comics that the films went out of their way to debunk in such a way that changing them would be undermining the whole point.

Anyway, any suspicions that Mysterio is alive are purely conjecture and fan theory. The film didn't leave it ambiguous. It told us he died.

Hypothetically, Marvel could bring back Whiplash and claim he faked his death, but that doesn't mean we change his status from "Deceased" until the day that happens to try to outsmart them. The film has told us he's dead, in no uncertain terms as things stand and with nothing actually in the text of the film that is supposed to imply ambiguity (quite the opposite). So those are the facts.

Seeing as he is taking on strange I doubt it’s our Mysterio that only does vfx. It’s probably a multiverse version with actual powers

He is just like ultron. He have to come back from the "dead" at least onnce to be a proper mysterio.

I hope he's alive, I really like him! But for now he's death...is he? But off course this doesn't make him alive, but him fighting against Doctor Strange...so cool!

It would make the Sinister Six complete and Doctor Strange vs Mysterio would have been cool.
