Perfect voice for the character.
As always (yes, Arishem, I'm looking at you), Marvel Studios forgot to try and characterize a being that is supposedly thousands, if not millions of years old, and who supposedly has an IQ much superior to a human's, as different from mere mortals like you and me.
This is also true for Thor, who at the beginning of the first film behaves like a 20 y.o. brat, only he's over a thousand years old, so he should know better.
And this is a true problem in sci-fi in general: since no one has ever lived more than 121 years, and since no one ever had an IQ over 200 or so, writers almost always fail to come-up with a realistic portrayal of such beings, because they can't imagine how it would be to be like them.
Some of Uatu's scenes are truly ridiculous, and the humor they tried to inject in the character is really out of place there. Not the actor's fault, though, and since I can only assume he will appear in a film sooner or later, I'm very curious how he's gonna look in his CGI version as opposed to the cartoon version.
I thought he did an amazing job as Uatu. I liked his portrayal. I couldn't really think of anyone else portraying the role. The one thing that I liked about Uatu this time is that we could see him fighting against someone. And I thought it was cool seeing him against Ultron/Vision. I was impressed to know that he was able to withstand the power of the Infinity Stones. Plus it was interesting to know that he had to break his vow and interfere with the flow of time. I am curious to know what will happen to him next and I would like to see him in a live action movie or show. But overall Jeffrey was great choice for the role
He did good with the lines he was given, but the character himself is just meh.
He’s a great character and a narrator at the same time.
What do you think?
