After finishing season 3 of the show i can say with certainty that it definitely fits in the MCU, (with a few minor contradictions). The magical side of things and dark dimension really feels like a continuation of what happened in Doctor Strange and AOS season 4. Morgan seems to be possibly even more powerful than Wanda was at the time.
I have a theory that was obviously not intended by the showrunners but might become my head-canon from now on. It occurred to me that Morgan might have waited until Doctor Strange was snapped away by Thanos to begin her campaign as she thought he would stop her. And thats why the first time they didnt exit the dark dimension until six months later. It would seem that Nico and Tina may have been some of the most powerful users of magic during the blip with Wanda also gone.
Im not sure i understand the shows explanation of time travel. My only theory was that Chase was wrong about it. It seemed to me that the original timeline would have been the MCU prime because i dont understand how Gert’s death could have caused a new timeline. Normally in the other media in the MCU, the meddling with time is what creates a new timeline so surely when Chase went back and sacrificed himself in her place, that would have been the new timeline and Gert still would have died in the original. Can someone explain why the wiki doesnt follow this logic?
I guess the conflicting part is how the time traveling runaways disappear afterwards but to that my question is why do they only disappear then? The timeline had already been changed multiple times, it didnt change when Chase died.
Also the wiki lists the events when they traveled back to the school as part of the original timeline but because they jumped twice wouldnt that be a seperate timeline again?
Overall i enjoyed the show a lot, especially season 3 and the crossover with C&D and if jt wasnt for the very last episode i wouldn’t have any problems with ut continuity-wise.
