Honestly, we won't know whether the Netflix canon is maintained until we have real evidence (a firm reference or, oppositely, a blatant contradiction).

Marvel Studios very purposedly kept an ambiguity in that regard: the Internet has been burning about this for 2 years and a half, and Feige and co. knew and could have made a definitive statement at any time, like "don't worry guys", or "sorry guys", but didn't.

So the only things we know is that we don't know, but that sooner or later (hopefully as early as next week), we will know for sure. After 3 seasons of DD, it seems unlikely that Marvel can maintain the soft reboot "we will neither reference nor contradict it" option forever: too much already happened, not to mention the crossovers with other Netflix characters who also come with their lore and history.

Either way, having the best possible Kingpin actor still playing the Kingpin is awesome news :D

Pros: KINGPIN!!!!!!, vindication for all canoners, I dont know why but the Clint/Laura scene really got to me, Avengers memorial, keeping Daredevil continuity, KINGPIN!!!!!!!

Cons: I'm too excited over Kingpin to think of anything right now, but I will.

I really loved that Jack appreciated Eleanor and Kate for logically getting him arrested and didn't get mad or created a scene.

Kate on her side, but now she is going to easily get him out

I feel he was just a red herring all along and will help Kate and Clint next week.

I hope jack’s getting framed by elenor and he’s not actually evil, his charachter just seems so nice
