To play the Devil's advocate, we are just starting a new era after the Infinity Saga, so we don't know where we are heading at, howsoever, we have had glimpses of several storylines going together: Multiverse, Dark Avengers or Thunderbolts, Young Avengers, Cosmic, Street Level.

Remember Feige's words, that the next phase following Infinity Saga would be different, different format, different narrative, so I can very much see the MCU being mostly standalone and just characters popping out here and there, and maybe have a final event, such as Secret Wars.

Phases don't generally have connecting threads, we just see Thanos as one retroactively. Until Infinity War and Endgame, the MCU was just a bunch of franchises that happen to have been set in the same universe and connected in minor ways. It'll take a while, but we'll see something similar

Not really, Brett. Those that featured a Power Stone were connected threads. Meaning Guardians, Avengers, and Strange were always going to be involved with Thanos going after the stones. Phase 1's was Shield, as that's the force that brought them all together. The only heroes with stories that didn't relate to the infinity war for the stones were Black Panther, Spiderman and Ant-man.

And I hear ya, Marvelus. But one of the biggest draws to the MCU was that it brought it all together. Plus, unlike Phase 1, there's now a history to the MCU. Retcons and sudden appearances can draw viewers away. Take the cat from CM causing Fury's eye, and how it made the Winter Soldier scene dumb, or how the Eternals excuse for not helping was an automatic drawback. Just doesn't feel like there's a concept strong enough to keep it all together.
