Lets not forget. Last time we saw Kingpin he was in custody. So we have to assume he is either out there again, or he is still in prison. If we assume he wasn't snapped, then the seven years might just be enough time for him to come out of jail.

Maybe the "first christmas together in years" quote was made for the trailer and it doesn't appear in the show, they did something similar in Loki
