The evidence points to 2009 but what you may wish.
If by recent you just mean the Civil War line, it's far more complicated than that. It's not just single bits of evidence over when Iron Man takes place, it's the whole Phase One package. And there's far more evidence since Civil War regarding Phase One's placement as Iron Man 2009/Fury's Big Week 2010/The First Avenger 2011.
You can't just decide Iron Man is 2008 without working out all of Phase One's placement. Because Fury's Big Week is the next year and certainly not 2009, The First Avenger is the year after and certainly not 2010. It's all very well just saying Iron Man is 2008 - on its own, yes, it presents that. But there's a bigger picture.
Also there may even have been an Easter egg in Endgame for Iron Man's November 2009 placement.
That could be anything
Assuming iron man's in 2008 than that 2009 easter egg could be refencing any of the Furys big week movies
No, it couldn't, because Fury's Big Week takes place in May-June and not November.
Regardless, that Endgame Easter egg is a bonus and not the main point.
Honestly there’s so much contradicting stuff in the MCU that making a timeline that agrees with everything is impossible
Especially Phase One.
And 2009 is the best possible compromise.
@Themcuneedsbettermusicalcontinuity Here’s a link to a post on this wiki, from 3 years ago (round about) with @BEJT explaining the exact thing he has on this post. He’s given the same answer he did last time. Here’s the original post:

At a certain point, after being explained to repeatedly, it starts to look like you just want to argue.
Side note: I really appreciate you confirming that this account and @Saltypineapple28 is you too.
It's not a post with tonnes of explanation from me - but the timeline pages themselves have the explanation in the references. Plus an old blog of mine that goes through it in detail.
Trust me, I had to fight to get Iron Man moved from as late as 2010 forward to 2009 4 years back. 2008 is just too early. 2009 is right, I spent months working on it and the wiki has settled on it. Plus the only official timeline Marvel Studios have ever put out puts Iron Man in 2009.
There are lots of mistakes on this
