Honestly, the most surprising thing about this trailer is the fact that Peter tried to carry on with his everyday life after being outed as Spider-Man. I expected him to become a fugitive, but I guess the "No Way Home" in the title actually refers to him getting lost in other realities.
It seems that Doctor Strange is a much bigger part of this movie than I anticipated. Maybe he should start listening to Wong when he warns him that doing certain things can screw with the very fabric of the universe. It's a good thing they've made the spell an "all or nothing" kind of thing, so that Peter's choice of whether to erase everyone's memory of him being Spider-Man isn't so black and white.
They gave us very little of the Multiverse stuff, which makes sense since this is a teaser. But they definitely set the stage for what we can expect in this trailer, since we get Alfred Molina as Doc Ock and that cackle we hear when we see the pumpkin bomb definitely sounds like Willem Dafoe. Could we see more people in the next trailer? I have to admit, though, Doc Ock looks a bit weird, which I hope means that the CGI they're using to de-age Alfred Molina is unfinished.
Hype : Over 9000
Mind : Blown
Hotel : Trivago
I can now rest in peace knowing that there won’t be more obsessive questions about when this trailer will release.
In WandaVision episode 1 the heart is around augustus 23 the same date the trailer dropt coincidence I think not
Really not feeling the trailer. It probably doesn't help that I am one of the few who didn't particularly like the Raimi trilogy (I still say ASM #1 is much better than any of it, that is my hill and I am not moving).
My first thought was 'oh my, they are adapting One More Day, are we in for months of Mephisto speculation again?'
I am hoping they left a ton of the reasoning behind Peter wanting Strange to make that spell out of the trailer, you need someone to have been killed as a result of the ID reveal (odds on that being Happy for me) to push Peter into this.
My hype level has really dropped but I absolutely loved FFH so maybe Sony aren't giving away the whole movie in a trailer this time and it's gonna be amazing. Maybe that's Mephisto posing as Strange (which makes more sense the more I think about it). Maybe it's all gonna be fine :)
On the 'Is that Charlie Cox's arm?' question, I mean it looks similar. There's no cane in the shadows but they could have easily done a no cane take to not completely tip who that was. From beard watch to arm watch, we'll eventually complete his whole body.
They’re saving most of the big reveals for the next trailer trust me on that.
To those who think Doctor Strange is irresponsible, remember that this is a trailer and that there may be more convincing done from Peter's part in the actual movie. But, if it turns out to be like in this trailer I do agree that is a bit of a bummer.
Also, anyone know who this is supposed to be?
I originally thought Venom, but as he is not in this movie, could it be Lizard or a more monstrous Rhino?
Well, I'm really damn hyped right now. I do have a concern however. With Doc Oc, Electro, Green Goblin, Sandman, and the Lizard being confirmed to appear, I'm worried that this film will fall into the same trap as the original Spider-Man 3 with too many villains.
Do you think the sign with Peter's face and devil horns drawn over it could be a hint to Matt?
Doesn’t this trailer and movie make Raimi’s Spider Man trilogy the first MCU movies
What do you think?
