I think so

Black Widow has always been meant to start Phase 4 which means we are entering a new era after the Infinity Saga from Iron Man to FFH. But on the other hand, Disney had released as merchandise an Infinity Saga collectible box with figures that also included the characters of Black Widow. In my opinion, Black Widow is not part of the Infinity Saga. Shang-Chi is also rumored to play in the Infinity Saga between Infinity War and Endgame, but I think that's a lie.

Why would Far From Home be a prologue to the Infinity Saga? It was set after it so wouldn't it be an epilogue?

They likely meant epilogue.

from my understanding, movies take about 5 years to complete. so to release it in 2016, they probably would have needed to start on it in 2011.

if I am not mistaken, the entire process is like this:: about 1 year of pre-production, about 3 years of production, and about 1 year of post-production. so probably start production in 2012.

not entirely sure, but a Black Widow released in 2016 might have been much different than the one released this year.

Well, it should be, since it took place during it. But I can understand their reasons for not deeming it part of the Infinity Saga

when I said "much different", that may have included any or all of the following::

- time setting

- place setting/settings

- other characters besides Black Widow
