He tried to get out of the quantum realm, but obviously didn't succeed. After that he probably just panicked

Marvel legally can't mention the Microverse because of some deal with Hasbro as far as I know. Hopefully they can work it out. Until then the Quantum Realm is the Microverse of the MCU.

That’s the first I’ve heard if any deal with Hasbro with regards to to the microverse - is that meant to be a movie rights issue or related to the comics?

I know that for instance Marvel can’t do anything with the character ROM, who was in canon comics but is wholly owned by Hasbro - they can and do however still use elements introduced in the ROM comics (such as Dire Wraiths) because these were created by Marvel.

Aside from that, I know Marvel has done several licensed comics runs like GI Joe, but not in the Marvel comics continuity.

Is it simply a dispute over the name “micro”?

He was only there for like 5 hours so he prob just stayed there. Prob did not want to move just in case.

It is film rights I believe. And yes, the word micro and all characters associated with it are Hasbro. So Micronauts and the Microverse can't be mentioned or featured by Marvel.

Had a quick look into this and it looks like it’s literally just the name that’s an issue - the quantum realm is essentially the microverse dodging any rights issues.

Seeing as microverse characters still pop up in the comics, it isn’t unreasonable to assume that a reveal of people living in the quantum realm will be on the cards at some point.

Yea, just like I said. I would like if they could get the rights to the Micronauts though.

I guess it just depends on how much of it is simply a name issue - if that’s the case then they could still show up under a different name.

Its never just a name; concepts too. For example, they couldn't just feature a team nearly identical to the Micronauts under a different name. The Quantum Realm is different enough as a microscopic universe is a popular concept.
