So just a theory, not a major one though. So in the recent SHANG CHI trailer we saw Awkawfina’s Katy being taught how to pronounce Shang Chi by the Kung-Fu Master himself. But in the previous trailers as well as the featurette, its been established that Katy is his BFF. And they have been good friends since Shang Chi moved away from Wenwu. And I am not ready to accept that she never said his name in them many years. So maybe Shang Chi uses a false name and identity when in USA. And its only when Wenwu calls him back, that his real identity as the next owner of the Ten Rings gets revealed.
