Ancient One and Ghost were great. Flag Smasher was okay. Mar-Vell and Taskmaster made me mad. I didn't like Mar-Vell's swap, but at least it made sense for story purposes. The change to Taskmaster was absolutely unnecessary. There was no reason for the change, and for me lessened the emotional impact of what happened in Budapest. I would've preferred the classic Tony Masters, or at the very least Rick Mason, because his character was kinda wasted for me too.

I think it worked perfectly with Ghost and Jery Hogarth.

Ancient One is a hit or miss but I personally liked it.

Even if they kept Karl a male, I would've still found him extremely annoying.

And Taskmaster and Mar-Vell were terrible.

Why is everyone not OK with the gender switching roles??? I really don’t get it! What they did with taskmaster in black widow was absolutely fantastic. And I will be able to back myself up on the statement. Natasha‘s past was literally coming back to haunt her. This made the perfect storyline for her to make up for her past sins so that she can move on and stop feeling guilty. The other gender swap roles were amazing too. Karli was one of my favorites! Everyone just stop trashing this. The MCU is making changes in or not comic accurate all the time. We’re just being babies if we keep saying how terrible it is.

Not necessarily trashing gender swapping... People just have their opinions and it has to be respected. If they don't like gender swapping, respect it. I haven't seen Black Widow yet but I can see the complainings about gender swapping because Taskmaster is an amazing character in the comics.

Antonia instead of Anthony and Karly instead of Karl it really us fun to watch. As you said in the post though: Carol Danvers:Mar-Vell they are both in the comics and both are considered marvels so im just goona point out that it wasnt a swap there.

The MCU is separate from the comics. It’s an adaptation. It has the same characters but it doesn’t need the same story. If they want more well known characters for little girls to look up to then by all means do it. I’m only a teenager but all I had was Wonder Woman. Execution is key though. I also don’t like the “strong female uwu” trope.

Why are you having problems with changing characters to women? If it doesn’t affect the story I would say it’s fine
