I’ve never been one to focus on least favourites. Just look at what we have! Everything has contributed to that in some way or another. :))
Well usually during rewatches I’ll skip The Incredible Hulk. So I guess that’s my least favourite.
The Incredible Hulk and captain marvel
Iron Man 2
Probably the incredible hulk and black widow. Soz to the ppl who disagree with the black widow part but the CGI in the end, during the explosion of the ship, was TERIBBLE and was a real dissapointment for such a recent MARVEL movie
Iron Man 3.
There is just so much wrong with it... from the absurd Mandarin 'reveal' to plot holes you could drive a truck through to the terrible way they handled Extremis to the ridiculous freefall stunt with the 'static electricity' to the rushed ending where, in the space of just a few minutes, they blow up ALL of Tony's suits (really for no reason at all), magically hand-wave away Pepper's incredible superpowers AND just pop out Tony's chest piece like it was a troublesome appendix... the whole movie was just crap.
It was also the first time that Marvel started letting their Hollywood political views creep in. Think about it - in the first two movies the hero is a brazen, wealthy, white, heterosexual conservative who tells the government to go f@#k themselves when they demand that he hand over his private property, glibly informing the world that he has 'successfully privatized world peace'. How trigger-laden is a character like that to modern Hollywood? So what do they do? They neuter him with PTSD so that he spends most of the movie cowering and put him in a position to have to repeatedly be rescued by women and children... oh, and as an added bonus they worked overtime to remind us that it isn't really Middle Eastern terrorists who are a threat the world, it's those EVIL corporations. A little subtlety, please.
Give me a break. It's pretty easy to tell which one of these films was directed by someone NOT named Favreau.
On the flip side, I think Iron Man 2 unfairly gets a bad rap. This is the movie where we are introduced to both Black Widow and War Machine, a movie where we get two truly fantastic actors as villains in Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell... and even get the official first appearance of Peter Parker. There's a lot to like there.
