I recall many times where a MCU character took the law into their own hands.

first in chronological order: Captain America rescuing the soldiers held by Hydra.

first in release order: Iron Man using his suit in the Middle East.

edit:: by a group: Agents of SHIELD season 1, the episodes that took place after Winter Soldier. I think both chronological order and release order.

I believe that sometimes the law has to be taken into there own hands and shouldn't be punuished.

Power corrupts and lawlessness has a tendency to spread.

Vigilantism is a very different thing from stopping a crime or defending the innocent.

Of course, that's for our own country and it's laws. Other countries can do as they wish with their own.

Vigilantes can be very troublesome when they enact violence on someone, without a fair trial. Not saying they don’t deserve it, but to the public and law officers, it might raise the concerns of who decides the fate of others. Some heroes/vigilantes might have a no kill rule, more interested in turning people over to police. Then there are those that kill and that is when things might get out of hand. Its possible for a vigilante, even with the right intentions, to become a villain.

Forgot to add: so the behaviors of the vigilante may vary to what I condone or not. Sometimes we need civilians to stand up against those who are committing serious crimes, but there are several risks that can effect others too. If bodies are just coming up in places, then that creates a scary situation too for the public, when you don’t have the background knowledge.
