He didn't. As you say, the official marketing material in 2019 confirmed it, as well as Benedict Wong himself.

The source that he did get Snapped is the original shooting script from 2017, where he was going to be among the faces shown at the beginning of the film. But given that specifically was cut from the film and 2 years later they specifically confirmed he wasn't Snapped, I believe the obvious answer is he wasn't. Others think differently.

I also think it’s pretty clear that he wasn’t snapped. The wiki says otherwise. Perhaps it will be more clear in Doctor Strange 2 so that the wiki page can be fixed.

Since Wong is set to appear in Shang-Chi (as the latest trailer showed us), it might even be revealed in that movie, especially since it is rumored to take place during the period where half of sentient life was gone

Wong did not get snapped. It might of been changed on the Wong page but it's saying he was ressurected in 2017 because that's when he died in Doctor Strange and was ressurected to battle Kaecilius and the Zealots.
