I just naturally presume the worst out of people, thanks to a good share of negative experience with people who persecute those who don't share their views or beliefs both in the West and abroad, having brought myself up on dystopian fiction like Nineteen-Eighty-Four and seeing victims of smear campaigns and false accusations with people taking said accusations at face value refusing to see reason or evidence to their innocence.

Perhaps I am judging an entire group after a handful of bad apples which the film itself put considerable focus on so of course I put up my defenses and treat everyone else like those bad apples while rejecting any nuances or more sympathetic aspects from individuals. It's just how I'm wired.

So in a way, this thread is my way of trying to work on my issues here.

The motivations of the Sokovia Accords make sense though, in-universe. I don't know of any instances, in-universe, where the Sokovia Accords perpetuate corrupt governments. In a world where unsupervised Avengers actions occur, people die. Surely, though, at the same time, when the Avengers are supervised by the government, people die as well. Its obviously a dichotomy, just like with any problem of this order. The world needs to be saved, but the Sokovia Accords play a part on putting the government in charge of critical decisions, which just makes all the sense, as they are the ones managing nations all over the world, not the Avengers. Naturally, of course, Avengers make critical decisions that the government cannot equal, and that is one big argument against the Accords impositions. If you really think about it, the Accords really were only a big nuisance during the events of Civil War. Infinity War events would largely play out the same way it did, had the Accords not be in effect.

Overall, my take is that the Sokovia Accords are well intentioned. The doubt lies on whether or not you blaim the collateral damage more than the unsupervised critical decisions to save the world. The latter can lead to unsupervised and unpredictable collateral damage. If you think about it, unsupervised Avengers actions have caused serious collateral damage. Ultron being the most critical of them all, given its inception was unintentionally caused by an Avenger, and the damage it did was beyond anything the Avengers ever faced (before the Snap). So, not a bad things to "put them on a leash". I don't blame people who are anti-Accords really, but the Accords are a good thing to go for too.

Sort of reiterating my last post to @Jt3enigma here.

I guess where my bitterness comes from is that the proponents of the Sokovia Accords, other than the Pro-Accords Avengers, clearly don't want to debate and compromise and would rather patronize anyone remotely anti-Accord and trod them down under their heels.

So if they're not willing to lay down arms and talk, why should I?

My first instinct is to pull the gun on them before they do to me.

@Qyzda I do think you have some good points too. I think the problem with this post is the way it’s put across; it’s ignorant, sadistic (that last paragraph is very detailed and quite bizarre) and could potentially incite fights on the wiki. 

It’s ignorant because you look at it with real world perspective, we have no super-powered individuals, we aren’t regularly visited by Aliens from other planets and galaxies. In reality this is how it would play out in the real world, the Analogy Ross uses about “misplacing a couple of 30 megaton nukes” is appropriate. Think of the destruction Hulk could cause at his most powerful...or Wanda in her Scarlett Witch form. There’s a reason these are fictional stories and it’s because, in reality, what could us as Humans do to someone like Wanda who can literally manipulate our reality? Someone like Hulk who could literally break through any containment we could think of? Thor who’s a literal god?

Hell, I would’ve done the snap myself after I use the Tesseract to teleport to the White House and force Thaddeus Ross and the President to confess what they have done to the Avengers before killing them painfully...

That’s some pretty intense feelings for a fictitious world.
