What MCU show or film had the best soundtrack?

I have to give this one to Luke Cage. Both seasons, though especially season 1, were amazing and the music definitely helped drive the story forward. Embracing that kind of Harlem culture and music for both its score and music offerings was incredible for the story and I absolutely loved the diversity and different genres of hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, and soul that it brought to the table. WandaVision had an amazing soundtrack too and the Jessica Jones spy themes were great as well. The TV shows obviously had better soundtracks as I feel the movies always had bland boringer music that was good only at points, but I did love the use of music in the GOtG film (score not the music that kind of stunk); and more recently the entire soundtrack in both Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home both of those actually had really great music.

Are we talking about the soundtrack in general or just the score?

If it's soundtrack, GoTG's (Vol. 1 and 2) was great! I love 70s and 80s music and it just works. I can't really explain it, but it really does.

WandaVision...what hasn't been said in the past? All of the songs were beautifully crafted to suit all of the eras in the sitcom reality. Agatha All Along is a vibe.

If it's score, Avengers: Endgame really nails it for me. Especially with Portals. I think every MCU fan cries when they hear that one...

I think the score in all of the MCU Spider-Man films is great too, obviously with the classic theme that was slightly reimagined to be more modern.

Honestly though...those are the stand-outs. Marvel's scores and music choices have always been spectacular and I have a massive respect for all of the composers who made it happen (especially as an advanced musician myself). I genuinely love all of them! :D

It's no small feat to perfect the mood and atmosphere in a film, definitely considering how massive the focus is on it in a big franchise like Marvel.

Soundtrack: I'm not generally into the kind of music they play in any kind of movies. I like hard rock, heavy metal, and the like. Classic rock is iffy, usually 80's or 90's. Ragnarok's Immigrant Song is good enough. Guardians 1 and 2 are fun but not my choice of everyday listening.

Score: I really like Captain America: Winter Soldier's score. Sometimes if I'm bored I'll pull up The Causeway on Spotify and that'll put me in a good mood. It's edgy and exciting and fits the movie well.

I know this wasn't the question, but my very favourite actual soundtrack has to be the Avengers main theme. Totally don't listen to it whilst brushing my teeth and staring dramatically out the window... 🙄😅

Tough to beat GotG 1 & 2, but outside of those two I agree that the soundtrack for Luke Cage (season 1 at least) was fantastic, especially for the setting. Spider-Man: Homecoming is a favorite as well, but almost nothing beats that Avengers theme during 'Portals'...

Don't know how many have seen it, but at Seth MacFarlane's Christmas party he got Alan Silvestri to conduct an entire orchestra in playing 'Portals'... must be nice to live like that.

The Black Panther sound track is lit ✌

I really liked the deep emotional music that was played at the end of Infinity War. The stringed instruments really came in nicely. It was so perfect.
