In addition to appearing in the Kingdom of Wakanda series, it's been reported Okoye will have her own series as well that delves into her origins.

Do we know it's additionally to? My feeling from the quote, "A deal for actress Danai Gurira to not only reprise her role as Okoye in the upcoming Black Panther sequel but also in an origin spinoff series for Disney+," was that this could be that Wakanda show - that it is somewhat centred around Okoye. It would make sense, since if it were a new show, you would think THR would make it its own article. Plus Okoye makes sense as a focus to a Wakanda show.
The "Nick Fury show" and Secret Invasion stuff were often reported separately before they turned out to be one and the same.
There was a second news item that confirmed she also appears in Kingdom of Wakanda so it's 2 different series.

Their source seems to link to the same THR report. They seem to be assuming that the Disney+ show referenced in the report is the Wakanda show, as well as assuming it's called Kingdom of Wakanda.
Also the THR link you and Comicbook have provided seems to only take me to the header part of the article for some reason. The link that works for me, if that link doesn't work for others too, is:

Could be just one show. But then again, Wakanda Forever and Kingdom of Wakanda seem to have the same concept yet both are happening. We'll see.
To add to the confusion with Fury, there was also that animated recap show Fury Files.
It sounds exacting
Yeah could be a separate show, I just wanted to check if it had been established that it was or not, because I felt it might be the same show.
I personally cringed at some of Okoye’s lines! Much preferred Shuri, and hope to see her as the new Black Panther!
I would love to see Okoye in a show. She was epic.
I'd love to see more of Okoye! She looks like she could have an interesting story and I feel like there's so much more to her than what we've seen so far :)
Meh, there isn't much interesting about Okoye, even in the comics.
What do you think?
