Currently they have third film and some other film for him to also be in, but this is an going discussion between the studios. They can continue to add more movie and projects to work on together.

With the additions already announced, along with X-Men, mutants, and other characters they got from Fox, they don’t need all of the Spidey-verse characters.

I think what happens next depends on what the two sides really want to do. If Marvel Studios wants to do more with Spider-Man, they will probably make it happen with Sony.

Also, the only 'Spider-Verse' character (besides Peter Parker) that should appear in the MCU is Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew). Others could possibly be done justice by Sony.

I mean, Spidey is still in MCU, isn't he? Plus, Disney makes his cartoons (or at least it has been making).

Disney makes his cartoons, but Sony has the film rights and refuses to sell it (so them not having Spider-Man isn't Disney/Marvel's fault, GOODMANTHEGENIUS).

As long as he's given a good character ending, I'd imagine being fine with his story ending.
