Two More Memes by Me
So Agatha gave Ralph super speed, and in one scene, Wanda used super speed. Doesn't that make Pietro the weaker twin? You got a witch and a speedster. The witch has an acceleration spell. The speedster is not as fast as his X-Men universe counterpart and died from bullets that the Fox version could deflect. Don't you just hate how the MCU handled Quicksilver? Especially the way they teased us by casting Ralph with the actor who played the cooler Quicksilver as he impersonated Pietro?
Honestly I don't mind that "Quicksilver" was not Peter. It was misdirection. They only did it because of that Mandarin moment. Or am I the only one who thinks this was fine?
^^I didn’t care too much
I can't wait to see more of monica
Same
@SeanWheeler Gotta be honest, I prefer ATJ to Evan Peters. I'm glad Fietro was not Fox Quicksilver, the Fox-Men have no place in the MCU, I'd rather they find a way to bring Back ATJ's Quicksilver
@SeanWheeler I think Wanda is showing to not just being the stronger of the twins, but also of the MCU. Also she developed that strength over time. Much stronger than she was in Age of Ultron. With this show and possibly with the next Doctor Strange, I think they are using Quicksilver’s death well. At first, it seem like a waste, but now it has more purpose.
On the misdirect, it didn’t bother me because I had already had a feeling he wasn’t the real thing. Was hoping for that to be the case.
People were mad about the Mandarin not being real. Evan Peters cast as an imposter Pietro was even worse. If Fox was still competing with Disney, there's no way they'd let them get away with that. If the X-Men movies were still happening, Fox wouldn't allow Evan to work for Marvel. Marvel wasn't even allowed to say "mutant" even though non-Marvel cartoons like the Ninja Turtles could use it all they want. That's how protective Fox was of the X-Men brand. An untrademarked word and the scientific concept of mutation couldn't be uttered in Marvel movies because mutation is tied to the X-Men in the Marvel universe. Gert Yorkes was lucky to get away with mentioning "mutant fungus." Nobody was allowed to be born with powers. They all got their powers through experiments, magic or Terrigenesis. Even though not all mutants are X-Men or owned by Fox (Squirrel Girl was planned for a cancelled show), they owned mutants as a Marvel species. And they owned Evan Peters portraying a "Pietro Maximoff" so I can only blame the $71 billion acquisition for this. Along with cancelling a whole slate of solo mutant movies like Gambit, Multiple Man, Shadowcat and X-23, this tease faking us into thinking the X-Men are coming is another reason I can't forgive the buyout.
@SeanWheeler The buyout now allows the X-Men and The F4 to exist in the same Cinematic universe as other marvel characters. Marvel Studios will eventually bring back the X-men, but not Fox's. The Fox-verse was a convoluted mess of a Universe that needed to be put down, I'm glad the Fox-verse is over. Its time for a new and better version of the X-Men this time set in the MCU
What do you think?
