In this interview, it's confirmed the actors in the commercials were citizens of Westview, too, and Agent Franklin is ok and restored to normal off screen when the Hex was was taken down.

As I recalled about Ralph's power, the creators decide to 'plead the fifth' about it. So we must see that in the future.
Ralph supposed to have a bigger scene if not for show's timing. I hope he will be in future mcu movies too. Or it will be a waste.
I hope they will bring in some Fox X men casts back too. I mean, they bring back Dr Octopus in Spiderman no way home, who is casted by the Sony actor too. And make a cameo on the news reporter in Far From home. They can do that on Fox too!
I dont care if he comes back, I'm just glad hes not Fox Quicksilver. I don't see him coming back tho, his character seemed to exist just for the joke, and I'm fine with that
I think Alfred Molina is playing Mike Ock, not Doc Ock in No Way Home.
No, he's playing Doc Octo, which reprises his role, you can check it on wiki
Ok so I have this theory about mutants in the MCU. It's probably not real but let me know what holes there are:
Witches and sorcerers have the x gene (maybe it's different than in fox x-men) and that's why certain people have an 'aptitude' for the mystic arts like Dr. Strange for example.
Typing it out it seems pretty unlikely but anyways
@Fangirl30002 So Stephen Strange is a mutant? Hmm... No. He was just taught the mystic arts and didn't have any powers at the time he was a surgeon. This is different from Harry Potter where magic is genetic and people born to magical parents but couldn't use magic are "Squibs." Weird things happened around Harry before he went to Hogwarts, such as the glass disappearing in the snake's exhibit in the zoo trapping Dudley, while Strange was really skeptical when he met the Ancient One. That trippy mind stuff the Ancient One did to him was his first experience with magic. Unless someone can show me Strange doing accidental magic before he learned magic, I think anyone even Tony Stark could become a sorcerer in the MCU. But I don't think they could retcon any established character as a mutant until the X-Men are introduced.
I don’t like the idea of current characters being mutants all this time. I’m sure they have a plan to introduce mutants, we just got to wait and see.
@SeanWheeler I’m not suggesting it’s like Harry Potter, I’m just saying that Marvel has hinted that some people may be more magical than others, which seems to be genetic. Somebody (Wong or Mordo I’m not sure) mentions that Strange was “born for the mystic arts.” 🤷♀️
In Comic Book's Phase Zero podcast, Shakman cleared up that one facet of the Hex spell was to make locals forget Westview existed to avoid 'disruptions' from visitors hence the talk between Woo, Monica, and the sheriffs at the start of the show. He also confirmed who the missing person Woo was looking for will be answered (elsewhere)
Also assorted stuff:
-Also, they considered Agatha's magic to appear elemental like as cicadas before going with the purple energy blast look,
-explored coven scene with witches all having different colored blasts,
-when asked why they skipped a 90s episode he said they played fast and loose with homages - Dick Van Dyke was in the late 50s not really 50s and Malcolm in the Middle was developed and pilot done in late 90s but came out at start of 00s and it tied to the huge fight with Vision/arrival of Fietro so the pressures made Wanda change the style to something wackier to process,
-Paul filming in costume during the California fires,
-filming the Vision vs. Vision scene,
-filming the magic act,
-were not told 'do this and this' for Monica to set up Captain Marvel 2 but producer Mary Livanos is an EP on CM2 so it was an organic process,
-confirms the spell on Agatha to make her Agnes is separate from the Hex spell and is permanent
-filming practical, using the Arri Alexa camera
-on Agatha's tactic of sending in Fietro, how it also explores grief, confirms Ralph is an actor
-didn't feel right to have Dr. Strange fly in and help her/save the day, it was about her discovery
-confirms Senor Scratchy was Agatha's familiar, they replaced the cat with a rabbit because it was funny and it helped with the magic act, the Devil connotations, Shakman was partly inspired by Bunnicula,
-talks a little about the deleted scene
-how covid affected how they made it, going into post earlier, finishing filming later
-during filming, the crew hearing stuff blow up on the set next door where Gunn was filming Suicide Squad, hearing Mackie's voice on another set
What do you think?
