I am curious as to what people hate the most about captain marvel. Is it the movie itself, the character or the actress? Cuz personally i really liked the movie, but i do not like the character or the actress

Eh
I really enjoy the movie and the character a lot. The movie wasn’t the greatest but it was very good and all these people who tried to troll the movie because it was starring a woman just makes me angry. We need more diversity in the MCU, and this was a step towards that.
I liked the movie, character, and actress, but I could summarize a lot of complaints I've heard (almost none of which I agree with). I've heard complaints about Larson based on her evidently being a misandrist (thinking women are superior to men, the opposite of being misogynist), although most of the things that "prove" she is misandrist are taken out of context. I've also heard a lot about her not showing emotion, although that's largely the point of her character, as well as that her only emotion is anger.
Regarding the character, I've heard that she's overpowered, doesn't have a story arc, and is presented as perfect (the last two definitely aren't true, and that first one is based on how you define "overpowered")
Regarding the movie itself, the main complaint I've heard about it was that it was too feminist, with most people pointing to the advertising having "They need her" turn into "They need a hero" (taking the "her" from "hero"), which fails to separate the movie from the advertising, which are different, and the scene in the actual movie where she steals the creepy dude's motorcycle and breaks his hand, which most people (myself included) have a distorted memory of, it's actually not as big of a deal as many people think.
Eh
@HArtfordman Why do you keep saying "Eh" ?
I heard she was taking feminism to a level no one wanted.
Idk, it just makes sense
I mostly dislike what they did with Nick Fury. How he lost his eye especially. I just feel like his overall mystery was undermined and we didn’t need to see his past. I also feel like Korath, Ronan, and Coulson didn’t need to be there. And the movie just overall felt bland, but hopefully the sequel can be like a Winter Soldier.
Eh.kinda
@Darth DarkDarth i agree I also don’t like how they made him funny in this movie. Only because of how serious he is in the other movies. It’s like we are watching a different character. Changing a characters personality can be done in a good way, for example Melinda May in AoS, the Bahrain incident made her all serious, that’s good character development. But with Fury, there is no explanation on why he became all serious
What do you think?
