@Marvelus That's true, we won't know for sure until the movie releases, maybe it's just a quick cameo. But to be fair for some people it might look like a cop out to bring back Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men and then say that it's not actually them (people are already saying that at the possibility of Evan Peters' Quicksilver not being the same one from the FOX films).
Because Pietro in WV is not Peter Maximoff. Just look at the VFX used for his powers, it is different to the one in Fox-Men franchise, his name will be Pietro throughout all the series according to a Spanish dubber, his name is Pietro not Peter, there is not Multiverse involved in his arrival (as far as we know of).
Now, Maguire and Garfield, it can be the same for them, so the MCU doesn't rely on other franchises, it would be the same characters we remember from childhood, just that the universe they come from is not the same we saw, and it gives Sony a full new ground to start over if they decide to make Maguire and Garfield's solo films. If Electro comes from Garfield universe in Spider-Man 3, then we know he is not the same one from TASM because Foxx already confirmed his Electro won't be blue.
And if Molina is Doc Ock from Maguire's universe in SM3 we now they are not the same because he died canonically on those films.
And it is much better because bringing all those franchises to now be "canon" in the MCU through the Multiverse just harms the integrity of the MCU franchise as a whole.
@Marvelus I know that WandaVision's "Pietro" is most likely not Peter, I'm just saying that many people are certain that it's the same one (the day that's revealed to be false will be interesting, I can already smell the rants).
I know that Molina or Foxx will likely play new versions of their characters, but the important thing is that Maguire and Garfield's Spider-Men will appear. As I said we can't know for sure what's going to happen until the movie's released but the people who were certain that they were going to come back might be dissappointed.
And let's be real, the majority of people watching the films don't care about "the integrity of the MCU as a whole". And many of the fans in other sites are enjoying the idea of bringing back the characters from other films.
Well, I am sure Kevin Feige and the others do, so I am happy they are the ones in charge and not the "fans".
@Marvelus Yes, if it wasn't for them the MCU would have ended long ago. Just saying that the possibility of characters from other films appearing can't be ignored.
I am aware we will see actors from non-MCU films returning, but all leans towards not being the exact same versions.
As I said we'll see.
Y’all they probably will release some sort of X-Men thing by then and it’ll all be cleared up but I think wolverine or cable again
I think they would most likely be erased seeing as Disney might recreate X-men for money profit. To be honest, I never care for the X-Men Movies. The only heroes I really want to see rebooted and done properly is the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom.
Eh
What do you think?
