Stormbreaker isn't enchanted. Anyone strong enough can carry it.

I’m pretty sure Stormbreaker doesn’t have the same enchantment on it that his hammer does (not even going to try spelling it) because if I recall correctly Odin enchanted it because Thor was an idiot and attacked the frost trolls so he wanted to teach him a lesson. Also when they went back to the past Thor only really got confidence in himself again after he summoned his hammer and was still worthy so yeah I’m pretty sure you only need to be worthy to lift the hammer or Thanos is just so strong it doesn’t even matter
