Do you think Black Widow will be released on Disney+ or not?
@Angel Gro I’m not understanding? So, if your not a subscriber you don’t have Disney+ so how can you pay for it then? Unless you mean on demand or whatever.
Although, it would be better because then you aren’t wasting your money for no reason.
@TheFrostyWolf Exactly! You pay the 30 bucks (or less) for VOD, and you pay a discount version if you are a subscriber.
Should just be free. Stupid way of begging for money, really.
I understand why they charge extra, a film that could have potentially made 800 million, there not going to give that up. But Disney needs to realize that in a streaming world those kind of numbers are impossible
I honestly wonder even when COVID-19 situation gets more under control and theaters reopen again to big numbers around the world, if this experience will push them to tell more stories on Disney+. They will still make movies, but they may think ahead to also focus on a service not relying on movie theaters. They could even make a MCU film for Disney+ not necessarily as a VOD, but just release to Disney+ service for subscribers. Depending how things go over the next year or two, film releases might be looking very different.
I do hope Disney+ releases more and more shows after the last show they’ve announced (It was either She-Hulk or Moon Knight). Like a Phase 5 and more Phases.
@TheFrostyWolf Oh they definitely will! Some of these first shows might even have a second season too or lead into something else. The best way to keep subscribers is new content and content they can’t get anywhere else. MCU has a whole gallery of characters yet to be explored in the MCU. Think about all the characters that never been in any movie, plus all the mutants and other Fox properties they own now, and with the possible crossovers Spider-verse with Sony, so much to explore and so many stories to tell.
Yes, exactly!
I doubt they'll put Black Widow on Disney+. They've clearly been pushing for it to be released on cinemas, as if they hadn't it would've already been released on Disney+ like Mulan. If they just put it on Disney+ now, it wouldn't make much sense.
What do you think?
