I know this sounds crazy, but here's a theory that I found. https://screenrant.com/captain-marvel-mutant-infinity-stone-mcu-theory/
What do you think? I know none of this is confirmed.

NOOOOOOOOOO
I really hope that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are NEVER introduced to the MCU.
And why is that?
Because I don't like the X-Men and I like the direction Marvel's taking the MCU currently.
The direction is towards the X-Men. May I ask why you don't like them?
They just don't appeal to me as the sort of character I want in the MCU.
I actually don’t care if mutants are introduced into the MCU. I don’t hate the X-men movies and I don’t like them either but having mutants in the MCU would expand it which would be awesome.
To quote Simmons from "One of Us," ""Gifted" is both insufficient and too broad. I believe there are two categories we're dealing with. Enhanced is what I'd suggest we call people like David Angar, Mike Peterson... people whose gifts were man made. Skye, Raina... this was inside them, a part of them."
I think Captain Marvel is in the Enhanced category.
I'm pretty sure the X-gene is triggered just from a mutant being born or when he/she hits puberty.
about Fantastic Four; there would be a movie featuring them in Phase 5.
X-Men and mutants would likely be introduced eventually.
about triggering the X-gene; some chance that the MCU having different rules when mutants are introduced.
about Carol Danvers being a mutant; there might be some chance of that. probably slight chance of her surviving the explosion if her DNA did not differ from "normal" humans.
I might see where the reluctance to have the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the MCU comes from. I think it stems from the whole "X-Men and Fantastic Four movies are bad"... well that does not equate that the characters are bad. They were just not delivered with proper justice, and they can very well fit in the MCU, as much as any other character they have introduced until this day. Though, I do disagree that all of those movies were bad. I am a personal fan of the Fox X-Men movies and, despite there being flops, there are also masterpieces, and among those, there are some of my favourite superhero movies of all. And I am not counting the Wolverine and the Deadpool franchise, just core X-Men movies from the franchise, there are very good ones (X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, etc.)... you're free to disagree though. In my opinion its more like the opposite... I fear the MCU won't give proper justice to the X-Men, as much as they had (at least in some aspects) when under Fox control. They would likely improve some aspects, but I feel they could also corrupt the original feeling that I had when I listened to the X-Men movie theme. As for the Fantastic Four... I very much believe the MCU can make a pretty good job with it. I actually think its miraculous that, after four tries, all Fantastic Four movies until this day, went wrong... because it shouldn't be hard to make an appealing and entertaining story with them... those would very much be the most welcoming characters previously held by Fox to the MCU.
What do you think?
