Why didn't Iron man make a suit of vibranium?

Tony didn't ever make a suit of vibranium, which confused me. Even if he didn't get any from Wakanda, look back on Iron man 2.

HE CREATED VIBRANIUM.

Why didn't he recreate this process again and again not only to make cores but an indestructible and extremely strong suit, especially one that could only be made by him?

The novelization is wrong. He made a brand new element called which he called "badassium." It was stated in a completely canon comic.
