What a clever way to be lazy. I literally don't know how else to discuss this briefly confusing moment. They literally had two extras walk onto the screen, mention briefly that they broke up, and didn't give two seconds for us to mourn the relationship we may or may not have wanted to happen before Thor makes a joke about it. On the one hand, it is a clever way of getting out this exposition in a way that shows it doesn't matter for the movie or Thor (which doesn't seem in character at all), but such a lazy way to do it as well.

For Love and Thunder they'll probably go more into how it happened and introduce her through that. Then they'll start making her her own character separate from, yet still related to, Thor.

Thor was very clearly bothered by the break-up he just (poorly) acted like it didn't bother him.

I do think it was a sweet, little brotherly moment with Thor and Loki (with the whole pat on the back). Ragnarok has a lot of little gems that could've been more fleshed out in a more serious movie. It's also cool for how it utilizes the MCU world in a few brief moments. Thor and Loki's earth disguises are simply stylish as represent their personalities well. We have Thor being a celebrity on earth after all his Avengers adventures, not missing a beat after being gone for two years. Then we have Loki being annoyed by and slightly jealous of Thor as always. Lastly, there is the awesome inclusion of Doctor Strange portaling Loki away, bemusing Thor and exciting us (the audience).

Thor Ragnarok is such a comic book/Saturday Morning Cartoon come to life I love it so much. I could gush over just about every scene in the movie!

I feel like this moment would have been better if Endgame went with the original plan to have Thor's Time Heist conversation be with Jane. I'm happy with what we had with Frigga, and that's probably better, but if we had a scene with Thor and Jane, that could have elaborated on their relationship and why they broke up.

However, I presume because they couldn't get Natalie Portman for the movie (just her voice), that's why they didn't do it. However, they at least acknowledged their break up in Endgame, so at least this scene wasn't just a waste and meant nothing.

Well i love jane i have heard rumors that she will somehow come back as likea female thor but im pretty sure that would never happen tbh i would not want that to happen
