Asgardian Gods

Why do asgardians refer to themselves as gods, when they're neither immortal nor all-powerful? Is it due to them being worshipped on Earth, and they've grown accustomed as being called gods or do they consider Asgardians as synonymous with gods? Because they're not even close to as powerful as Celestials are, and Celestials are killable so they're not gods either, and there's an even more powerful group of beings existing in the MCU: the Cosmic Entities. If they were powerful enough to CREATE the Infinity Stones, there's no question as to what species is the most powerful, yet the Asgardians STILL call themselves gods when they're not even close.

Ummm, yes.

But seriously, Thor can control thunder and is the strongest Avenger. They can hold Infinity Stones. They are very powerful.

And they are immortal to natural causes.

But even if you dont think that they are powerful enough to be considered gods, the term god does not have to mean the most powerful beings in the universe.

They're not immune to natural causes. Odin died without any outside interference (stabbing, poison, asphyxiation, dehydration, etc.), even if it was due to his power draining, but still, the cause was something internal started by something external, like how illnesses can be contracted from someone else but are natural causes of death since they affect you internally without someone purposefully giving them to you.

I mean I don't think fading into yellow dust is a natural cause
