Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ties into Avengers: Infinity War. That is obvious on-screen, not just from the Thanos reference, but the New York attack and news reports, and also Behind the Scenes. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S6 is 1 year later.

There is no point of divergence, just fan theories.

The way I see it, they aren’t really in a post-snap world, it just doesn’t look like that and it’s pretty clear it’s meant to be a “pre-snap” sort of thing. But, all that alternate timeline guessing and theorizing is just people trying to make sure the MCU’s continuity is perfect, when it just isn’t: Rhodey magically changing into Don Cheadle, Bruce Banner turning into Mark Ruffalo, 8 Years Later, etc. These things just happen in something so expansive as the MCU, it’s just how it is. But how it can be reverted is with a retcon, like Infinity War confirming Avengers was 2012, them sticking with Cheadle and Ruffalo, etc. So, if the AoS characters are ever used again, they can hopefully retcon Season 6-7 to take place in more of a post-snap dystopian setting, without changing the events of the season either. But for now, it’s just a continuity problem and it’s better for the story of Seasons 6-7 to take place uh in that world.

Also, if the MCU can continually ignore what happens in AoS (Inhuman Outbreak, maybe a few other things that could’ve been referenced) is then AoS can ignore what happens in the movies (snap), especially because of how drastic it is (get rid of 1/2 of your cast, set your story in a post-apocalyptic world that lasts for 5 years).

"Recast" has nothing to do with continuity. In-universe logic, there is no face change for Banner, Rhodes, etc.

The thing is it's not really post-apocalyptic. As you can see in the Hulk restaurant scene, a lot of people are living normally like nothing happened, this is the same thing with AoS, they moved on.

Also, getting rid of half the cast for 2 seasons isn't really a bright idea, it's a job for crying out loud.

While, a lot of people dying is terrible (especially to that extent), after some time, you'd be more adjust to it (especially if you didn't lose anyone, which is possible, as it's not 50% of each defined group). And because it was the Avengers' personal loss, that's why they were all depressed. I imagine every super-person is aware of everyone else, but they stick to their own issues.

Like, Doctor Strange could have helped out in so many situations, but he knows his area, and he just stays there. However, once he found himself crossing over with Iron Man, then he ended up breaking off from what he'd normally be doing. So, with that, had there been any crossovers for the tv shows, then they would have gotten involved and mentioned it.

So, the agents were just always dealing with their own problem. Any outside thing that happened would literally just be a normal thing. Although, being SHIELD, they branch off a little more than say Daredevil would, but still. However, now that the show is completed, the question will be if they appear elsewhere in the MCU. Jarvis appeared in Endgame because it was definitive that his character would be there, and the show no longer was around. So, the same will apply for the agents, and it's up to Feige on how he'll bring them all in.

Although, as much as we want all of the characters to appear, it's probably not likely that we'll see all of them. Any character that didn't appear in the finale is likely never going to be seen again (and I know people want to see Bobbi in Hawkeye, I do too, but not being in the finale kind of makes it hard to continue her, and any one else's story). But, if they could find a way, it would be great (same with Deathlok, as I think only the actual superhero characters would work).

Mack is the director, so there's a good chance we'll see him again (only if the characters will ever appear). As for the rest of the agents, most of them are in places that are good to leave them in (Coulson's living his life, May's a teacher, FitzSimmons are retired, Deke's in an alternate timeline), so I don't know if including them would do much to their story but ruin the ending. Quake is an obvious one to bring back, because... she's a superhero. Whether that also includes Sousa and Kora is debatable. And as for Yo-Yo (and her team of Piper and LMDavis), I don't know how much could be done with them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Ghost Rider some time in the future. Especially since it doesn’t necessarily need to be Robbie Reyes. While I personally would love to see him return I could also see it being a different person. The Spirit of Vengeance could just go to someone else so it could keep AoS continuity and also explore a different character. Also the appearance of the Darkhold in Runaways means that he isn’t guarding it anymore.

I like to think Bobbi, Hunter, Ghost Rider and Deathlok got snapped.
