Didn’t really like her and I really don’t think Thor cared either up until Endgame. She was one of those pointless side characters until they saw they could use her for the plot.

You don't think Thor cared about his mother.....? Please don't confuse poor execution of a character, with how people work.

Frigga is somehow both forgettable and memorable. Until this very post, I didn't remember her being in Thor at all. The entirety of Thor: The Dark World is completely nonexistent in most people's memories, but at least for, she was the most memorable part. Her conversation with Jane, her death, etc.

Then in Endgame, she and Thor held my favorite conversation (scene) in the movie, truly making this character one worth remembering when she was good.

Amazing how she managed to have a bigger funeral than Black Widow.

No I think Thor cared for Frigga but he clearly looked up to Odin more. Frigga was the inspirational parent for Loki with her teaching him sorcery and magic.

I am glad they brought her back so Thor could have one last talk with her and she could motivate him. Wish she could have been more like her comic version, she can do some mad magic in the comics.
