ALL POSTSMarvel Cinematic Multiverse: Site-wide Overhaul
<p>First things first, I hope that you are all as safe and good as you can in these difficult times.
</p><p>In my case, I've used these days to give some thought to things and proposals that were left up in the air, and with them, I've started a Macro-Project to overhaul the whole site in order to prepare for a reality that, despite it has been already hinted, has not been properly tackled, in part because its full introduction is still a few years away: The proper concept of the Multiverse, with its alternate characters, multiple realities and so on.
</p><p>In preparation for that, we'll be performing some tasks that, no matter what your opinion about how to think about it or the best way to deal with it, will improve the site.
</p><p>And the first one is that, for each and every character in the wiki, there is now the mandatory need to add a source to each and every bit of information given in the "Alias(es)" section of the Character Template. Use the general rules for sourcing to add links to the proper movie/episode/comic where the alias was given for the character.
</p><p>This will help track the origin of each one of them, and avoid using them in case it refered to alternate versions of the characters.
</p><p>For now, that will be all. Remember that "the steps you take don't need to be big, they just need to take you in the right direction".

<p>Do aliases through merchandise count? I may be wrong but I think Peter gets called Iron Spider on the packaging of his Infinity War Funko POP. There's also editorial aliases, like if Marvel officially promoted him as Iron Spider, it could be sourced that way. (For example, Gwen Stacy's Spider-Woman was known as Spider-Gwen because that was her editorial alias. Until it became her actual alias for the last arc of her original comic.) </p>

<p>This is a good change, and actually gives clarity to some aliases. This will help ensure that the names don't have unnecessary articles in front of them as well, since the reference will always be there. I believe I've seen an issue like this present on the Hulk page; unnecessary uses of "the" that aren't in the actual reference.

<p>By source I assume you mean a ref tag? So every alias on the Iron Man page for example would have a ref tag citing its origin? </p>

<p>In Endgame, the Captain America in this timeline meets and fights the CA in another timeline, and the old Cap mistakes this new one for Loki in disguise and calls him that, which is why Loki appears in his list of aliases. How do I reference it correctly, so that it's clear that the old Cap was never called Loki, and only the one in our main timeline was?
