Together, you would definitely have a hard contradiction, if not for the sad fact that Marvel Television has done similar things and we have to accept those as not providing big contradictions, so it would be unfair, unfortunately, to say they provide absolute proof against. </p><p>That also said of course, one email with the header "Northern California Law Association 2018 eNews" would also certainly, again being fair, hardly mean it <i>has</i> to be 2018, with the flexibility in-universe that it could be late 2017 talking about upcoming news for 2018 and then the "six months later" say May 2018, or just out-of-universe be ignored/thrown out. </p><p>So hey, there's my thoughts, since I've always been unable to contribute my own thoughts regarding <i>Venom</i> contradictions before. Obviously I sincerely do not want it to count, and am glad that the current situation is that it doesn't. <p>I don't know much about the Eternals but it doesn't seem to me that the quote gets in the way of them having been created, either created before that and then arrived on Earth 7000 years ago, or created on Earth 7000 years ago, thus "arriving" into existence. </p><p>

<p>Ah right, thanks. I had seen the mention of the "10-27" as why it was October which is false, but I didn't know about the NCLA Presidential Reception, and I don't really care about that universe so wasn't researching thoroughly. </p><p>Also meant to note that Ron Cephas Jones appears, though with the <i>MCU</i> now casting actors for second major roles, that's not a big deal. But also Wayne Pére, who <i>already</i> has two <i>MCU</i> roles. </p><p>

<p>As always, there's not much point speculating, "Well, if they say this then we can do this, but if they say this we can do this." There's lots of factors and there's differences to do with the exact way things are expressed, etc.. Just take it as it comes. We always deal with things one way or another. </p>

<p>Apparently, Sebastian Stan was celebrating Bucky's 107th birthday on the set of F&tWS earlier today and posted about it on social media. That would mean the show is happening in 2024, since he'd only be 103 in real time. </p>

If I'm remembering right, they have historically been inconsistent with Bucky's birth year specifically in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when he's looking at his display in the museum at the end of the movie, the narrator says he is born in 1916 on the display it says his year of birth and death was 1917-1944. So we can say here in TF&TWS, they stuck with 1916.

This kind of tricks are not unusual in the MCU (think of Cap Marvel and Far From Home). </p>
