I do wonder if that means Captain Marvel 2 will be Phase 4.

Then maybe, Phase 5 will include the GotG Vol 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp sequel, Blade, Fantastic Four, Mutants film project, and anything else they were considering.

Phase Four always felt small and hollow to me without the next instalments for Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man and Wasp, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, and only lasting 2 years.

So I do hope they just blanket declare 2022 a Phase Four year, meaning we have the next instalments for most main characters (I'm not talking about just cameos in other things like the Guardians in Love and Thunder), and Phase Four is 3 years. And hey, maybe Guardians Vol. 3 could still go for late 2022, given James Gunn was planning to start filming late 2020/early 2021, or Ant-Man 3 could go for late 2022 given it was going to film mid-2021.

With the next instalments of almost every character and a little more length to it, then Phase Four feels more like a "next chapter" to me than how it previously felt, just like an in between bunch of "stuff".

I reckon when Sony pushed Uncharted all the way to October 2021, it was to allow Tom Holland to film Spider-Man 3 first. So I think they're still banking on that for July 2021 at least for now.

I don't see anything stopping Spider-Man 3 to still be released in July. There's definetly a window between Shang-Chi and Doctor Strange. I personally feel these delays are a good thing, gives more time to flesh out the properties and make the movies better (and yes I am aware production has been suspended in these movies, but those that are in pre-production or post-production might just have advantages). Also, with all these movies coming closer and closer together, makes up for a more coherent and fluid continuity, I'd assume. Also, happy to see Captain Marvel 2 release date, and also the fact that including 2022 in Phase 4 is inevitable and only makes sense.

Looks like ‘Eternals’ has been pushed back a year as it was said to arrive December this year.
