Today, my fellow Spider-Man and MCU fans, is the 5th year anniversary of the amazing deal between Disney and Sony that allowed everyone's favorite wall-crawler to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's been half a decade since Spider-Man join the MCU, and in that short amount of time, has had 5 MCU appearances, including two solo movies and three team up films with the Avengers. Tom Holland has been playing Spider-Man longer than the previous two actors, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, and has instantly become the most beloved live action iteration of the character due to his charm, kindness, and fun personality as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Spider-Man's popularity has increased heavily thanks to his appearance in the MCU and this deal between Disney and Sony to share the character has benefited both studios, as well as the fans. There have been a few hiccups, most recently the temporary split between Disney and Sony that took Spider-Man out of the MCU. But, thanks to Bob Iger and Tom Rothman cooperating with one another, as well as Tom Holland's drunken call to the Disney CEO himself, the deal has been extended for two more MCU appearances. Though, it is a high possibility that the deal could be extended even more after that, hopefully giving Marvel Studios more freedom to do whatever they want with Spider-Man and his characters in the MCU without any limitations from Sony.

Anyways, I just wanted to say this quick little post to celebrate the awesome 5 years we've had with Spider-Man in the MCU, and here's hoping to another 5 more, and possibly even more after that if Disney and Sony continue to play nice (or Disney just buys back Spider-Man permanently. Whichever comes first). Anyways, I want you guys to tell me your favorite MCU Spider-Man moments in the comments below, and tell me exactly what you hope to see in the future of the MCU regarding Spider-Man, his story, and his characters. Me, I'm hoping to see Oscorp finally appear so Norman Osborn can set up the Dark Avengers, and eventually become the Green Goblin. Also, I really hope that we see the Sinister Six appear in the MCU really soon. And I hope to see fan favorites like Black Cat, Silver Sable, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, and Spider-Man Noir, for example, appear in future MCU Spider-Man films or crossovers.
