I know, it's a weird line, but that character says just days later in the events of Season 1 that the T-shirt makes them really sad (because Hillary lost). I think you just have to take it as them being sad Hillary lost and hoping she runs again and gets a chance at some point, holding on to false hope in a sense.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Runaways hinted at least a Trump-like figure was elected. Luke Cage basically confirmed it, with D.W. in the same scene saying he hasn't felt this weird since "November 9th" and, when Luke says he wants to "make Harlem great again", calling him "Luke Trump".

It seems that, at least for presidents in the last decade, it was:

January 2009-January 2011: Obama

January 2011-January 2017: Ellis

January 2017-?: Trump
