Its innacurate. Old Lace is a Deinonychus and they looked nothing like this.
P.S. I understand that the show wasn't bothering to have scientific accuracy in it... they just wanted to have Old Lace as it was in the comics, that's all...
Well, there's isn't an accurate look for the species. It's all speculation.
I understand the inaccuracies. I love dinosaurs. But I mean Jurassic Park was inaccurate too. I just enjoy a show for the entertainment, and that’s what I love about Old Lace, and she’s epic in the show. She brings a lot to it.
Indeed, Iceman. However, there are traces that we know for certain Deinonychus had and had not, that Old Lace doesn't have or has. For example, Old Lace has pronated hands and oversized arms, which we know from skeletals that the real-life counterpart didn't have.
But yes, that's not at all a point to be made. However, Jurassic Park was made in 1993, and our knowledge of dinosaurs wasn't the same as in the modern days. Given that The Runaways was made in 2017, though, kinda feels like a stepback in my regard, but I'm okay with it, given that it wasn't the intention of the series. At least they gave them some feathers, here and there, even though in real life, Deinonychus would look way more like a bird in that aspect than anything else.
I’m just happy with the character.
Alan!
