I really like her. I’m glad that they decided not to go with the Mary Jane Watson route (I personally think her essentiality is overblown), and instead create a character that closely mimics a real life high school weirdo.

I think it’s important to recognize that they haven’t fallen in love or anything, they’re just high schoolers exploring an awkward but endearing “hey I like you, you want to go on a date?” relationship. Peter mainly likes her only because she’s into him. The chemistry between Zendaya and Holland is great at conveying that.

Homecoming hinted at her feelings for Peter, but I think Far From Home did a decent job of giving her a more developed role.

I’m excited to see where they go with MJ.

Yeah, I never understood why it was so important to not have the M and J be Mary Jane. I’m fine with the different take on her, but the name doesn’t do much, especially when they call her MJ anyway.

Her line from the first film, I can't remember it exactly, but something like, "Where are you going, Peter? What are you up to?" followed by "Just kidding, I don't care" made me howl with laughter. I love the energy she brings. Not sure how I feel about them as a romantic couple, though.

As a Character she's good. She makes People laugh, we laugh. But, She's not a good love interest, I'd prefer seeing Peter with someone that He's been with before. Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy.
