Soul Stone sucks, no?

Other stones have at least one movie show their capability, like give somebody superpower or what they can do. But with Soul Stone we only saw it took two lives away. Does it even count as superpower? Basically it's just what it costs (from good people). What else can Soul Stone do (by it alone), besides giving Thanos a wet dream meeting kid Gamora? (Hawkeye didn't even get the same treatment.) My opinion is the MCU owns us a story to tell something more about Soul Stone.

I can relate to your point of view, even if Thanos still sounded like a perv to me. Personally, I had this theory that the Soul Stone connects him to every single living soul, thus making the process much easier. It might work, but that's just my theory.

It provides the user with a certain knowledge. It’s said to be the most dangerous stone out of the six. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’d reappear at some point (even though it was destroyed). Perhaps it’ll show up in Guardians 3. Who knows?

Thanos primarily used the Soul Stone in combination with the other stones during combat (ex: when Dr. Strange multiplied and lassoed him, Thanos used the Soul Stone to find the real Strange and the Power Stone to blast him).

Depending on who you talk to, the Soul Stone is perhaps the most important of all the Stones, given the sacrifice required to attain it and the implication of Thanos talking to Gamora inside what looked like the Soul Stone when he snapped.

I don’t really know what your complaint is, but I don’t think Marvel will or should reveal more about the Stones than what we already know. A little mystery is a good thing in storytelling.

The Soul Stone might just be useful to predict the movements of other characters and then use them to perform an action that follows. According to Strange, when he looked to the 14 000 605 futures, only one the Avengers would win, meaning that, no matter what, Thanos was going to snap everyone (or at least half of it, but you get the idea). When he predicts it, I assume he already has the soul stone, or was in his way to get the soul stone. So whatever happens later, Thanos is going to predict the actions and/or control them, to help him give an advantage. So Thanos was going to win against Iron Man, Spider Man, the Guardians and Doc.Strange, no matter what. Maybe the Soul Stone had something to do with it. So Strange played accordingly to this fact, and lets Thanos win, gives him the Time Stone, and just hopes for, later, Ant-Man get out of the quantum realm, to which he would certainly tell the Avengers to time travel and get the infinity stones. Thanos wouldn't have predicted that. Doctor Strange beats Thanos in his own game, knowing that, no matter what, they were going to loose and the snap was going to happen.

We know Adam Warlock will be in GOTG3, so, question to comic readers: has he ever used the Soul Stone in the comics? If so, then the Soul Stone could make an appearance in GOTG3

Doubt it. There are no more infinity stones left in the universe, so Adam Warlock would function without it...

I was gutted to. I wanted to see him raise a dead army or show us something cool it cud do. It was said by Wong in one of those comics that come out before the movie it was the most powerful of the stones.
