I think as a villain he was well done and the costume was so beautifully made and he was very much like the comics but the twist was stll very funny and unexpected. I think he’s dead but maybe he comes back for a villain team up. It won’t be hard to just say oh he just faked it because it fits the charachter just like loki. 

I really enjoyed seeing him on screen, especially his really elaborate illusions he gave Peter and his costume, props to the designer. I’m sure he’ll come back in the future, at least I hope he does. 

I loved him. He was a great villain, one of the best. Great costume, too. In the illusion sequence he literally defeated Peter with CGI. The guy has no powers but manages to defeat someone who does have powers with just intelligence and trickery. And he fooled the most elite intelligence agency in the world with basically a film crew. I wouldn't be surprised if he faked his death (becoming the new Loki in that regard) to form the Sinister Six in the shadows. I actually hope he's not dead because it would be a waste to use a villain with such potential only once.

His last words about people believing anything are true...some people even believed he was a hero during the FFH marketing campaign! (yort yort)

I didn't love Mysterio. I felt his potential wasn't quite capitalised on, though loved the Berlin sequence and the connection with B.A.R.F..

But his bar reveal scene I found completely ridiculous, and several of his scenes I thought they were either going to take it in a full "Oh this man is actually insane" direction or undercut it with a joke to justify how silly things were getting with him, but they played it straight each time and so I kept just thinking "This is too silly".

I enjoyed his character. I enjoyed the movie a lot, but Gyllenhaal’s performance was a highlight of the movie. He gave me some Loki vibes. The way he broke Peter made me despise him, though.

I think he had a plan to fake his death. The proof is that  EDITH didn't ask Peter for confirmation as it did in the first time when Peter gave it to Mysterio.
