The reason the Daredevil one isn't bad is because it's a good-natured "Save this thing we like please". It's not mean-spirited, it shows no hostility or sense of entitlement, and in comparison in particular to the Tony one and other ones at the moment, it's not disrespectfully demanding a redo of a creative decision because a consumer felt entitled for a piece of art to be a different way for their pleasure.
Remake The Last Jedi, remake Game of Thrones: Season 8, to a lesser extent this, it's disrespectful to everyone involved and it shows a massive sense of entitlement. Art doesn't have to be made full stop, and it certainly doesn't have to specifically made to please you. Sometimes creative decisions are disappointing, but without freedom, it's not art. And if you really think some fan collective banding together would create a better-crafted piece of entertainment that would also please everyone, you're deluded.
These petitions, as well as the ridiculous get rid of Brie Larson petitions and all the rest, need to just wither and die and I wish media would stop reporting on them. They're petty and childish and perpetuate a toxic entertainment culture we're experiencing far too much these days.
Of course it was sad to see Iron Man leave us all, but his heartfelt goodbye is something that shouldn't be forgotten by just bringing him back.
Bringing back characters happens often in the comics, but even the Russo brothers have stated that they aren't looking to retell those comics - they want to create a slightly different and new story, but one thay comic fans will still know and recognise.
Bringing back iron man would take away the effect of his (in my, and many others', opinions) most heroic moment in the MCU. He begin as slightly arrogant (forgive me) but now he has grown and become a modest hero who will definitely do ~whatever it takes~ and his snap showed that, so bringing him back would stifle the way he sacrificed himself for the universe although he could have easily stayed at home with his wife and child.
I get it was sad to see Tony go. But the worst thing you could do is bring him back. The way he died is how I think he would want to go, sacrificing himself to save those he loves. It did so much for his character and is something that fits. Tony's going was just and something that was expected. Bringing him back would just ruin that and his whole arc. It would also show that they did that just for shock value like they sometimes do in the comics. And that would suck. I hate to say this but he should stay dead.
This was a real legendary death scene of iron man. Even i was a big fan of iron man.
Yeah they're pointless. There are some that I think are good ideas but I know marvel studios wont be affected by a fan petition. I saw one guy say "let's start a petition to get Captain Marvel recast with Alice Eve" and I'm thinking that wouldn't be terrible but Brie has a 7 movie deal, get over it lol
I feel like Typhoid Mary is too big a role to ignore for her to then play Sue Storm.
You can ignore it if you don’t have Netflix. Hahaha
