<p>This petition would not exist if the Russos had done a better job with the movie, and had had more respect for the other directors' characters (that is to say, all the Avengers who aren't Steve Rogers). Really, it was a bad idea to let the directors of one character's movies be put in charge of the ensemble's finale. </p>
Oh stop it! The Russo’s did fine and the film was a big success. If people really hated the film it was not been a hit like it did. These petitions are complete waste of internet space.
I agree with MarvelSharky, for the most part it was enjoyable there were tons of things I was satisfied with. The only that irked me a bit was Steve's ending. But other than that it was a great conclusion

</p><p>Time Traveling rules caused a lot of paradoxes, plot holes and alternate timelines to suffer. They’re gonna want revenge and answers for us screwing up their timeline.</p><p>
</p><p>Why didn’t the Avengers just go the days before Thanos destroyed the stone? Make things a lot easier. </p><p>
</p><p>Steve’s ending, on a lore and character level, made no sense and was butchered.</p><p> </p><p>Nats ending was terrible. She is thrown off the cliff and she doesn’t get a funeral. Now the Black Widow movie is a prequel. Prequels about dead characters are stupid unless the character background is super vague. I get Widow has something she feels she needs to redeem herself for, and that’s “vague” and we can learn it in the prequel but her killing hers left for it is stupid. Her ending for me would’ve set a lot better if Hawkeye sacrificed himself and Black Widow went back to Russia to face whatever problem or “red ledger” she has, setting up her solo film.</p><p>
</p><p>Fat Thor. I get that Thor is depressed. I know his character has to downgrade from Infinity War, but making him fat and making him some joke was not the way to go for it. Make him go on a revenge quest, or have him spend all his time in Vahalla. And the Avengers didn’t care that a teammate and friend turned into that husk (more like blob) of a person he once was felt odd. I mean, Stark made a joke about it! </p><p>
</p><p>Not focusing on post Endgame world that much. 5 years have passed, and all we see is a grief sesssion. What does that do? Of course people are sad, and the Russo’s could’ve gone deeper into the post snap world. Have Nat run orphanages across the world for Children who lost both parents. Have lines that describe the state of Africa, South America, Asia, North America, Europe Australia and all their respective countries. Have Wakanda acting as a global leader and sanctuary in the chaos. Have TV screens that describe entire planes falling out of the sky and killing everyone on board because of the snap. What about all those that were killed INDIRECTLY because of the snap, such as all the people in the building when the helicopter crashed in IW?</p><p>
</p><p>5 YEARS. This time jump has so much potential, and yet it also harms the MCU in so many ways. How many bank accounts were closed, and then people just pop back up again with no money nor home. How many husbands and wives run back home after being snapped to find their SO dating someone else? What about half of a generation of kids that grow up without mothers, fathers, friends and pets for 5 years. What happens to them? What kind of trauma do they endure? What did the world do when half the crops disappeared? Livestock? </p><p>
</p><p>Clint’s identity of “Ronin” was there for about 5 seconds, and no one ever mentions him again. Nor do they go further into it. </p><p>
</p><p>Killing 2014 Thanos means that everything changes in “our” timeline. That means the Guardians never come together which could cause a cascade of problems. Ronan has a high chance in destroying Xandar. Thor makes it to Earth, but the Avengers are split up and don’t come back together. </p><p>
</p><p>Vision is never rebuilt even though a good amount of his mind was downloaded by Shuri</p><p>

@Frazer, the reason the Avengers did not go back before Thanos destroyed the stones is because they probably didn’t want to face a Thanos with the Gauntlet again. Thanos is dead at this point, so this was more about brining everyone back, not facing Thanos again. Considering risks. Sounded like the this approach of just grabbing stones and coming back had less risk, then trying to get the gauntlet and stones from Thanos himself. They also hoped to be stealth with taking the stones and bringing them back, but they didn’t seem to consider some things and obliviously encounter some problems. Having 2014 Thanos come through to their main timeline wasn’t something I think they were expecting.
When the rumors of Avengers 4 being about time traveling and going back to scenes from previous films, I was worry about a soft reboot. The alternatives timelines was okay with me because it still allowed the previous films have value to future films. The new Loki show is suppose to explore one of these timelines, but I doubt we will hear much about the other timelines soon. They are there now. Yes, one will be without Thanos and Black Order, which might create a void filled by newer problems.
As for some of the characters and 5 year gap, Clint was Ronin for 5 years and while we didn’t see much on screen, it could be explore on a Disney + show later. If they ever wanted to do that. Not sure what else needs to be address. Sure he was a vigilante, but I don’t think the others were holding that against him.
Black Widow death got mixed reviews, but I don’t think it will take away any significance from a solo prequel. Studios have done prequels for dead characters before and have been fine. We get movies about real people that we know are dead. Black Widow movie can still be good and relevant.
I would like to seen more about what happened over the 5 years too. One of my complaints about the TV shows and how Marvel Studios has been working with them. Some missed opportunities there.
WandaVision show might address your complaint about Vision. Wait and see with that.
Bucky not getting the Shield, the focus is too much on Steve giving it to Falcon. I’m more interested in finding out why Bucky had him go to Steve alone. Bucky seem to know all along what Steve was going to do. Hope this gets explored more in their upcoming Disney+ show.
The film is not perfect, nor should it win “Best Picture” at the Oscars. Everyone at Marvel Studios found an interesting way to bring all these films together for one conclusion. The petitions like this are 99% of time useless. The film is breaking box office records and that’s says a lot about what the audience and fans felt about the film. Not everyone will like it, I know that. You can’t please everyone. For the this particular film, I think everyone at Marvel and Disney are happy with the end result.
