The six stones were being gathered in guardians of the galaxy vol.2 and because this is right between Captain America. Civil war and the Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 anyway during this time of Dr. Strange is kinda right in the middle of all this happening, and it can be juss right there and idk how the film would put this right there but it showed all of the Avengers battling it out and can say they were all takin a break, I would say that the 5 infinity stones were being gathered juss like the collector would say “5 more stones left” at the post credits of Thor the dark world, so idk it fits perfectly and the timing is right there also, LxLII

i don’t think taking a break is a good reason to not show up in this case haha

Well Dr. Strange had everything covered and no earth was demolished so which by meaning taking a break i mean is Dr. Strange took care of the problem anyway by defending earth by putting dormammu or what ever in his own timeline and took care of the problem before hand so that way the avengers took a break cause he took care of the problem before avenging it hahaha!!! Think about and make sense??

I think that the whole thing was related to 'protecting the reality'. Chances are, the avengers were not even aware about it, because Doctor Strange stoped Dormammu. Remember, when Tony asked Strange in infinity war that what exactly it is he do, Strange said that he protects their reality. If he's protecting it, no need to raise alarm.

And anyway, that didn't happened in USA so Avengers were like whatever😂 (JK)
