<p>There seems to be a lot of discussion about this across the interwebs. I do think it's a stupid argument that'll get resolved in about 8 weeks, so people should just relax. But all evidence seems to be that he's the hero in this incarnation. Yet many seem to be absolutely convinced that it's a ruse and he'll be a villain who's just pretending to be a hero because 'that's what it is in the comics'.</p><p>
</p><p>Surely if we've learned anything from Marvel Studios, it's that they're not going to be predictable. Does anyone really think they'll give us an overly-obvious plotline now? Am I wrong?</p>

What you need to do it remember the Sinister 6 setups they were doing in Homecoming. Who's in the Sinister 6? Mysterio is. What if Mysterio is actually from a different Earth, but gets stuck and blames it on Spider-Man? There are tons of ways to make him a villain without doing a betrayal type thing.
